Well not much success with the transistor, although I’m not sure if my setup was good. It would help if told what kind of equipment you plan to use those critters in.

Why isn’t any “on-resistance vs drain current” graph in the datasheet of IRFZ44? Had to acquire an oscilloscope in the irgz44v to find the broken parts though.
