Does anybody else have the experience of wanting to read further because you love Larten Crepsley, but also not wanting to read further because you are afraid it’ll end too quick? I didn’t like how aimless Crepsley was. I’ll be waiting for book three with bated breath and a weather eye on things that go bump in the night.

So for fans, it’s interesting and completist, and it will fill out the complicated, conflicted character they first met in the Cirque du Freak series. Also, Arra Sails was introduced in this book but she wasn’t in it long, I would have liked to learn more about her.

I am sick of vampire books myself, but Darren Shan’s books are different,no matter how the book may sound cliched. I’m a broken bloody record. Set free by their master, Larten and Wester are released from the shackles of being unwavering members of the vampire clan. About seventy percent of the book is told, not shown. There are new characters also, crepslley two in particular got my attention.


Most of the book was him aimlessly going from place to place not knowing what he wanted from life, making bad decisions the entire time. ,arten and Darren O’Shaughnessy. And the story of young Larten Crepsley continues.

There was more involvement from characters we met in the Saga of Darren Shan.

They’re all fantastic in their own special or, with some being absolute delights.

He’s my favorite character ever. But Shan is the man when it comes to creating original subjects to terrorise. At the end of the first novel, Birth of a KillerLarten and his brother vampire, Wester, had left their master Seba to venture out into the world on their own.
